THE PERIDROMOPHILE SERVICES The Peridromophile is a paper issued primarily for the benefit of the followers of the hobby of transfer and token collection, and who consequently, from that point of view, have an interest in matters relating to local transit all over America. This paper was taken over by Geprodis System on October 16 last, the paper itself having been operated since September, 1926. Its connection with Geprodis System was further strengthened by the fact that the Geprodis Perpetual Calendar, the first unit to be taken over by the Geprodis System, was a development of a "condensed calendar" which appeared in The Peridromophile for January, 1927. Of course, it is not to be expected that the readers of our Organisation News will be generally interested in transfer collection, though, for those who seek an interesting hobby, this bears looking into. But what ought to interest all of is the services that Geprodis, through the Peridromophile, operates, both incidental to issuing The Peridromophile and as part of the transit information incidental to the transfer collection hobby of the peridromophile's circle of friends. Of course, it is to be expected that the main services of The Peridromophile will be about transfer and token collection, and consequently of no interest except to those connected with that hobby. But this is by no means true of all Peridromophile Services, may of which should be of interest to the general public. Chief among these is the City Information Service. This consists of information, which Geprodis will supply for 25¢ to anyone desiring it, as to how to reach from any address to any other address, DOOR-TO-DOOR, in any of the following cities:
Suburban territories are included, in the case of many of these cities. Thus, in the case of Boston, the service includes addresses in Arlington, Brookline, Cambridge, Chelsea, Everett, Malden, Medford, Somerville, and Watertown; in the case of Cincinnati, the Kentucky suburbs of Covington, Newport, Dayton, and Bellevue are included. In the case of New York, the service includes New Jersey suburbs, including all of Hudson County, Newark, Irvington, the Oranges, and Elizabeth. The service for San Francisco includes the East Bay cities, namely, Oakland, Alameda, Berkeley, Richmond, San Leandro, and Piedmont. In addition, there is the Itinerary Service, charging 50¢. By this service, Geprodis will make up itineraries for railroad travel anywhere in the United States or Canada, including city information at any starting points, [end first page, second page missing]
